Self-esteem: open the Floodgates

Here is further material from Paul Blackburn’s , Blockage Buster seminar.

In the previous posting, we were talking about self esteem, and how that should be separated from achievement.

Separate Self-Esteem from Achievement

This time I would like to share with you material Paul Blackburn dealt with on day two of Blockage Buster.

He said that there can never be absolutes in personal development.

Each person develops at their own personal pace.

Tools and strategies need to be generic and flexible, as each person will implement these in their own unique way according to their needs.

Opinions: How reliable are they?

In the previous article, “Do you wait or do you Leap?”, I brought up what Paul Blackburn refers to as being over-stimulation.

Mike Filsaime has a useful concept called Hedgehog that counteracts the negative side of over-stimulation.

For 30 days do just the one project. No other project, just that one.

Here is a 4.35 minute AUDIO just to fit in with your schedule.

Do you wait or do you Leap?

I’d like to share two more aspects from the material that Paul Blackburn delivered during the two-day Blockage Buster seminar.

First one

I found it amusing when Paul said that we are bothered by standing still, and think that some movement or action is better than none.

He gave the analogy of someone standing at an isolated railway station.

Listen to the 3.32 minute AUDIO if it suits your day better.

Do you make a List?

At the beginning of this week, I went to a two-day seminar called Blockage Buster.

This seminar is the brainchild of Paul and Mary Blackburn from Canberra, Australia.

Paul is possibly best known for being an elite coach at the Australian Institute of Sport working with Olympic and it would-be Olympic champions.

However, for decades, Paul and Mary have been running a series of different programs to do with changing your mindset in the various areas of your life.

To find out more about them check out their website, Beyond Success.

If you prefer, listen to the 5.34 minute AUDIO of the posting.
